ID : 890
« back to classes page
The Rosewell Ruins in Gloucester County exist today as a relic of America’s fabled past. From the earliest Native Americans to the post-Civil War industrialization, American history was forged at Rosewell. This two-day activity will explore the history of Rosewell and discover why Rosewell today stands as one of America’s most magnificent mansions.  Day 1 is a lecture on campus, and Day 2 is a private CWA tour of the Rosewell Plantation, located a short 40-minute drive from William and Mary. Members are responsible for their own transportation but carpooling may be discussed on the first day of class.
