This course will examine the practical possibilities of a simpler and happier life in retirement through the lens of Williamsburg, Walden and the West.  The search for a simpler life has a long and distinguished history in America, from its colonial beginnings to the present day.  We will consider historical themes and living examples for their guidance in gaining peace, freedom and happiness through intentional simplicity.
