Rooting for your baseball team requires devotion and patience.  Almost always, you are disappointed.  Sometimes, the disappointment lasts for decades.  Then one lucky season, your team gets hot, and wins the World Series; and you never forget it.  The 1960 Pirates surprised the Yankees and won their first Series in 35 years.  The 1975 Reds beat the Red Sox for their first title in 35 years.  The 2017 Houston Astros defeated the Dodgers for the team’s first Series title.  This is about three classic World Series, the winning teams and their fans.  Learn their stories; and become a fan.
