« back to classes page
This lecture will focus on colonial American families, especially George and Martha Washington, Thomas and Martha Jefferson, and Benjamin and Deborah Reed Franklin.  It is presented via first person dialogue, a Williamsburg style, and features the 398 year-old Squire, Bin Forever, introduced by Nancy Cogswell.  The 1635 arrival of the Cogswell family on the good ship Angel Gabriel will also be revealed, and if time permits, the journey of Jack Jouett (the Paul Revere of the South), and “The Duel I Don’t Know About” will be discussed.
