The Year of the Bird Meets Street Art: The Audubon Mural Project

ID : 687
« back to classes page
2018 has been designated by The National Audubon Society and its partners as the Year of the Bird.  In the neighborhood where John James Audubon lived in upper Manhattan, the National Audubon Society and a gallery owner initiated a project for street artists to use
neighborhood buildings and store fronts to bring attention to North American birds threatened by climate change.  With Audubon's folio taking flight to the streets, attention is being focused on these birds, and a transformation of the neighborhood is in progress.  Join us to learn about the Year of the Bird, the Audubon Mural Project, and these amazing birds.
