I offer this course to share what I believe is my special insight. As author and director of the PBS Emmy-nominated documentary and companion book, In the Footsteps of Marco Polo, I led the only expedition in history to retrace his entire 25,000 mile journey. This description of Marco's trek takes the reader across the world's largest landmass and back, traversing mountains, deserts, and jungles. The diversity of the Silk Road, its peoples, customs and religions are mind-boggling. The crossroads of culture is a never-ending adventure from which to learn. Please join my caravan!
