« back to classes page
We are all very concerned about ISIL, ISIS, IS, Daesh. Who are these terrorists, where did they come from, and what is happening to counter them? This course will identify and discuss the significant events in history that supported the evolution of this radical Islamic sect. We will cover the status of the world's response to ISIL, including a detailed lay-down of the weapon systems on both sides of the battle, and the status of the battles raging in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen and India. If time permits we will discuss the ongoing Syrian civil war and other hot issues in the Middle East. A comprehensive set of references will be provided.
