Homeland Security: An Evaluation

Homeland Security has been a cabinet-level department for over fifteen years. Although the media is rife with shortcomings and embarrassing anecdotes about the organization, there have been many successes. Discussion will review the last Homeland Security self- evaluation and identified internal areas for improvement. Class discussion will use the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Baldrige Performance Excellence criteria to evaluate strengths and opportunities for improvement.
