Contrasting Strategies to Control Health Care Cost Escalation

This course assumes that escalation of health care cost is the major health policy problem facing the nation. The course will identify the sources of cost escalation and evaluate three strategies for controlling cost. These strategies are: Affordable Care Act (ACA) 2010, ACA Light (Republican proposals to reform/replace ACA) and Medicare-For All bill 2017. Each of these strategies will be reviewed for their impact on health care costs.
