ID : 1557
« back to classes page
Find out how seven immune mechanisms not only protect against infections (virus, bacteria, mycobacteria, worms, etc.) and cancer, but also cause disease (diabetes, myasthenia gravis, Grave’s disease, hemolytic anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, Crohn’s disease, psoriasis, sarcoidosis, etc). Additional topics include: how vaccines work, monoclonal antibodies and rationale for monoclonal antibody treatment, tumor immunity, and AIDS. The underlying theme is inflammation and how immune mechanisms modify inflammation for better or for worse.
