ID : 1443
« back to classes page
Would you like to make friends and influence people by pointing out critical thinking mistakes during cocktail parties or online political discussions? Do you yearn to clean up your own thinking by filtering out personal bias when constructing or considering the merits of an argument? Informal logic can be defined as a set of techniques that help us evaluate the validity and soundness of arguments in everyday discourse. We will study examples of several of the most famous logical fallacies in informal logic to help us identify and address sloppy arguments made by others, and ourselves.
