ID : 1392
« back to classes page
Amateurs study tactics; professionals study logistics. Combat operations represent a small part of military operations. The logistician
owns everything from the fort and factory to the foxhole. Logistics consists of four main operations: stategic deployment; reception,
staging, onward movement and integration (RSO&I); sustainment; and retrograde. A study of logistics will help particpants better understand American success in military operations around the globe.
