This lecture will outline how to build successful research labs that lead to ideas that influence the world. The Global Research Lab at William & Mary collaborates with partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U.S. State Department to provide insight to current global challenges. Its work has been featured in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. During this session we will discuss research structure and highlight case studies in tracking Chinese influence and the use of satellite data in monitor economic impact, among others.
