« back to classes page
This course will provide intermediate-level and experienced players added insights into proper declarer play. Techniques include using probabilities; forcing a defender into giving declarer a free finesse (end play) and discarding a winning trick (squeeze play); how to determine a defender's point count and distribution in order to select the better alternative among two or more lines of play; and the importance of the order in which alternative lines of play are attempted. Handouts discussing proper declarer play, defensive play, and bidding will be provided for each hand played by class participants.
