« back to classes page
In this course we will discuss the multifaceted and often elusive themes and questions at the heart of this lengthy and complex tragedy.
Our study of Hamlet will explore the historic and cultural contexts in which it was written as well as the language for which Shakespeare
is so lauded. Participants are encouraged to read the play; we will, however, view a film version of the play by interspersing scenes in
our discussion.
