Transmorgraphy – Using Photography to Create Multi-image Art

This lecture begins with a demonstration on how to use photography and free association to make multi-image photographic collages in
a process the instructor terms transmorgraphy. Creating strong compositions based on the principles of design with an awareness of Old Master composition and lighting is explained emphasizing different examples from the fall course. The second part will demonstrate how
to make a transmorgraphs using Photoshop. This will include cutting and pasting collage elements, establishing a good background,
and refining the composition through blending, masking, and painterly techniques.
