« back to classes page
Seriously interested or mildly curious about family history but never knew where to start? This is a beginner's introductory
course. If you are well down the road to finding your elusive ancestors, this is NOT the course for you. Lectures and in-class related
internet searches discuss: "Where do I look first?" - easily accessible census records; "How did they get here?" - immigration &
naturalization records; "Were any ancestors in the military?" - service records; "Where do I look?" - repositories of interest to family
historians; and "Now what?" - how to put it all together.
