The History of the Protestant Reformation

A study of the 16th and 17th century Protestant Reformation. The study will examine late medieval/pre-Reformation society and the church, and pre-Reformation reformers. We will then examine the work of Reformation figures Martin Luther, Huldrych Zwingli, John Calvin, Menno Simons and John Knox. The effects of the Reformation in Germany, Switzerland, the Low Countries, France, England and Scotland will also be examined, as will the reaction of the Roman Catholic Church and the Counter Reformation.
