Bridge players learn several concepts that work more often than not and become bridge "truisms." They apply to all aspects of the game...defender play ("cover an honor with an honor"), bidding (bidding to the level of total trumps); and declarer play ("eight ever,
nine never"). But there are many situations where blindly following bridge "truisms" is clearly wrong. In this course we will learn when and why to deviate from commonly accepted bridge truisms. You will have an opportunity to put to play several hands that demonstrate these situations.
